Made for the 'Maids

(Sister Pudding, you are not welcome here)

With the BM dresses ordered, it was time to move on to choosing the accessories for my beautiful ladies.  Even though I toyed with the idea of blinging out the girls with coloured stones, in the end I decided that classic pearls were probably the way to go.

I was imagining long strands of pearls.  Something that the girls could each wear in their own distinctive way. Something like this:

The other day I was leafing through a flier from Macy's, and noticed that their pearls were on sale.  I took this as a sign, and went to the store to check out their selection.

Turns out, long strands of pearls like in the picture above are super expensive!  If I want to achieve that look, we are going to have to go faux.

The trip wasn't a total failure though.  They did have a great selection of traditional pearl sets on sale.  I picked up two of these bad boys:

The set, including necklace, bracelet, and earrings, came to a total of $39.00.  Considering the fact that these are real freshwater pearls, they were a total steal!

What kind of blogger would I be if I didn't model them for you, a la Price is Right?

I'm still in love with the idea of multiple pearl strands, but was thinking that this could be a nice gift even if the girls didn't wear them for the wedding.  I know that neither of my maids owns a set of pearls, and this could be something that they will treasure forever.

Macy's sale ends on Sunday, so if you are looking for a cheap and classic gift for your BMs, or even something special for yourself, there is still time!
What are you planning on gifting your bridesmaids?
