Say I Do to the Shoe

The search for the perfect, low heeled shoe has been a long and hard one.  Nevertheless, I am happy to announce that I (may) have achieved the impossible!  I managed to find a beautiful, stylish, comfortable shoe with a heel that is under 3 inches!

Meet Eddy, by Badgley Mischka.  At first, I wasn't sure if she and I would be a perfect fit (pun intended).  I liked the broach, and the silk overlay thing.  But I wasn't so sure about the ankle strap, and I still missed the glamor that only a 4 inch heel could provide.

I ordered the shoe from Zappos.  I figured that I had nothing to lose because of their free shipping and great return policy.  And than, they came:

I opened the box with bated breath.  I honestly wanted them to be perfect, but I was so nervous that they would disappoint me.

I took them out of the box, and stared at them for a good 10 minutes.  Did I love them?  Were they perfect?  I wasn't sure, so I took them for a little photo shoot.

Hmm....they look good from the front.  I had to put them on my feet to know for sure.  I took them to my usual I-need-to-take-pics-of-my-shoes spot.

This is exactly how Mr. Pudding found me when he got home from work:  unshowered, in a dirty sweatshirt, with my sweat pants rolled up, and Badgley Mischka shoes on my feet.  I swear I kept them on all evening, trying to decide whether or not I liked them.

I had to admit that they were very comfortable.  I called Mama Pudding via Skype and showed them to her using my web cam.  She really loved them! Getting that little bit of encouragement from Mama P meant a lot, and forced me to evaluate exactly what it was about these shoes that made me hesitate.  I realized that the only thing that could make these shoes more beautiful would be a 4 inch heel.  I can't expect to find a low heeled shoe that comes with a high heel, now can I?

So, it's been decided.  They stay!  I am still going to keep my eyes open, since these babies were a little pricier that I wanted to spend, but I am happy to report that I will not be walking down the aisle barefoot!

How is your shoe hunt going?
