Different St(d)rokes

Ok, I have a bit of a confession to make.  Some of you commented about the amount of work that went into our STD's, and I must admit that they took a considerable amount of effort to complete.  Still, I withheld a little detail from you, and I have finally decided to come clean.

With our wedding guest list approaching 230, I only made about 30 STDs.  I decided early on that not everyone on our list would get the blood, sweat and tears version.  This decision was a fairly easy one for me, since save the dates are really not common in my family.  Plus, all of my relatives have had our wedding date circled on their calendars for almost a year and a half now :P

I probably wouldn't have sent STDs at all if it wasn't for the fact that Mr. Pudding's family is traveling to our wedding.  They needed to be given an appropriate amount of time to plan the trip, and I wanted to do this in an official way.  So, all of Mr. Pudding's relatives received STDs in the mail.  We also have quite a few friends traveling from far away.  Although I sent out the beautiful versions to my friends from England, the Middle East, and Australia, Mr. Pudding's friends, as well as local friends, all got an email.  I felt a little bad about this at first, but than I had the chance to talk to one of Mr. P's buddies, who told me that I shouldn't even bother sending him a paper invite.  He said that an email was enough, and I should save the money on postage :p

What about you?  Did you send STDs to all of your guests, or just the ones traveling from afar?  Did you bother with them at all?

  2. I'm so happy that you carefully read all of my posts! Direct quote from above: "I sent out the beautiful versions to my friends from England, the Middle East, and Australia". I'm not sure, but I think you qualify :p It probably just takes longer for it to reach the other end of the world :P
