Ring a Ding (Pud)Ding

Remember my beautiful engagement ring?  Mr. Pudding worked so hard on getting me just the right bling, and he definitely succeeded.  It's the perfect mixture of my need for glamor (lot's of diamonds, please!) and Mr. Pudding's need for practicality (bezel setting, so it doesn't snag).  Need a reminder?  Here it is:

When I showed you my ring for the first time, many of you wondered what my wedding band would look like.  The ring has a unique shape (which I love), and it does present a bit of a conundrum.  Initially, I was planning on getting something like this:

When Mr. Pudding saw this band for the first time, he instantly fell in love with it.  He said that he liked that the two rings spooned, just like we do (we're big time snugglers)*.  Even though that totally melted my heart, I started thinking that maybe the one band was just not enough bling for me.  The band on my engagement ring is quite thin, and so is this band.  So I started thinking that perhaps I could get two bands - one for each side of my ring.

We looked into having these rings custom made, and even though it is totally doable, the price tag is substantial.  Mr. Pudding has said that if I want two bands, he would get them for me.  He argues that I will wear these rings forever, and I should have something that I love.  I feel guilty though, since one band is already quite pricey.  I started to lean towards getting just one band now, and having Mr. P buy me a second one for an anniversary in the future.

Lately though, I've been drawn to right hand fashion rings.  They seem to be much cheaper than their "wedding band" labeled counterparts, and they provide a lot of bling for your buck.  I've been thinking about sporting one of these beauties on my ring finger, and switching my engagement ring to my right hand.  As Mrs. Avocado explained, in Poland people wear their wedding rings on their right hands, so this seems like a suitable solution.

I think that any of these would do nicely in the place of a traditional wedding ring:

Do you have an odd shaped ring?  Did you get a custom band to match your e-ring, or did you opt for a separate band?

***Despite his love for snuggling with me, Mr. Pudding is nothing but the manliest of men :p
