Dance With Me, Kermit

Mr. Pudding and I have been completely clueless about our first dance song.  We have been talking about it for months, and haven't been able to make up our minds.  The problem is that while I would be content with any old romantic song, Mr. Pudding wants to dance to something sentimental, but not gushy.

Yesterday we had our first dance lesson.  Since we didn't have a song picked out, we asked our instructor to teach us to Waltz.  To our surprise, we picked it up quite easily, and really enjoyed ourselves!  We came home and began searching the internet for songs that we could waltz to - which is no easy feat!

Suddenly, Mr. Pudding stumbled upon a song that made him choke up.  Mr. Pudding does not get choked up easily, so I knew that he must have found something good.  What he found, was this:

According to Mr. Pudding, this song makes him think of his childhood, and how far he has come in his life.  The lyrics aren't necessarily about love, but Mr. P says that it summarizes our belief as a couple that the world is generally a good, happy place, and that we must always strive to reach for the stars.  He says that our wedding day will be his "Rainbow Connection".

Mr. Pudding does not get excited about a wedding decision very often, so this song is a serious contender (especially since Mr. P has guaranteed that there will be a tear shed on his part if we dance to this song).  The only problem is the fact that Mr. P would like to have his favorite childhood entertainer sing the song.

Ummm...growing up in communist Poland made me miss the whole Muppet's craze.  Having Kermit perform our first dance song just seems weird to me.  I am not against the song, as long as it's performed by someone with a pulse!
Mr. Pudding requested that I put it to the hive, so I am asking you to take sides on this one:  Would you allow Kermit to make a (vocal) appearance at your wedding?
