Who Doesn't Love a Fashion Show?

Back in December, MOH/Little Sister Pudding came to visit me in Vermont.  She was here for a whole week, and we spent most of it talking wedding.  Little Sister P is the only person in the whole world that has no problem listening to me talk wedding 24/7...perhaps because she is a huge talker and on most days it is me who listens to her rambling stories and nods my head :P

Anyway, we took the opportunity of having both of my bridesmaids in the same country and went dress shopping.  We invited MIL Pudding to come along, and she, in turn, invited her mother, so this really turned into quite the little party!  I had such a wonderful time being surrounded by all of these ladies, and it makes me feel all mushy inside that the women in Mr. P's family are just as excited to have me become a part of their family as I am to join it!

How adorable is Grandma P?  She was the official photographer of the excursion.  MIL P and I took some time to explore the wedding dresses - I was trying to show her the basic "feel" of my dress, since she hasn't seen it (none of the dresses even compared to mine though).

We went to a total of three bridal stores: One great, one good, and one a total bust.  But we did try on dresses - lot's of dresses!

I'm sure that everyone says this, but I swear that it is true in my case:  I have the most beautiful bridesmaids that ever graced a wedding.

We ended up with a couple of contenders, although we did not make any final decisions.  Everyone kept asking me what I thought, and I just couldn't bring myself to pick a dress that someone else would have to wear.  I saw several dresses that made me think, "wow, I could rock this dress", but I wanted my girls to feel this way.  Did anyone else feel weird about forcing your tastes onto your maids?

So, without further ado, here are the current BM dress contenders:

First, we have my first love.   This dress is by Shoshanna - it's the only short dress that I can picture on my 'maids.

This next one is a B2 dress.  Sister P was concerned that it made her look "hippie" (as in love handles, not "flower power").  I, of course, thought that she looked beautiful!

We all loved the classy simplicity of this Belsoie gown.  The empire waist sash is satin, while the rest of the dress is chiffon, which kind of gives the whole thing a "tuxedo" look.  I am not sure if it photographs that well, though...

And last, but not least, we have this Vineyard gown.  Sorry about cutting off Sister P's head.  Pictures weren't really "encouraged" at this salon  :P

So ladies, help an indecisive Bee out, would ya?  Which dress do you like best?

P.S.  What is up with bridal promotional photos?  I have yet to see a model rock a wedding or bridesmaid gown like a "regular" girl does!
